Using a combination of traditional aural tuning techniques and modern computer software, we create a tuning which is tailored to bring out the best possible sound from your piano. This service normally takes between one to three hours, depending on the condition of each particular instrument.
Sticking or non-functioning keys, annoying buzzes, and broken parts all get in the way of playing with ease and making beautiful music. Upon request, we are eager to address any of these issues and carry out repairs as necessary to restore functional playability to your piano.
For instruments which are especially out of tune, a preliminary tuning or ‘pitch raise’ may be necessary to get the piano in the ballpark before a standard tuning is possible. This procedure helps to ensure a better final result, as well as greater stability.
